A living connection with history and the Mediterranean Sea, reflecting the very essence of our artisanal and innovative spirit.

Our underwater treasure embodies a daring journey into the world of wine, pushing the boundaries of tradition by reinventing the aging process and giving the wine a distinct and groundbreaking identity.

The ancient Roman techniques for transporting, consuming, and venerating wine come to life in every amphora submerged in the Mediterranean, resurrecting an age-old practice with our authentic touch.

The collaboration between S'Àmfora and Tritium marks an audacious journey into the world of wine, defying traditional norms by reinventing the aging process and giving the wine a bold and revolutionary identity.

This project seamlessly blends S'Àmfora’s expertise in underwater aging with Tritium’s innovative winemaking vision, resulting in a pioneering achievement within the industry. The defining feature of this process is the underwater aging in ceramic amphorae—where these vessels are immersed in the Mediterranean Sea for at least 8 months, enhancing the wine’s maturation. Specifically submerged in the Delta of the Ebro, this technique preserves the wine’s evolution without oxidation, imparting unique freshness and marine characteristics.

The Sea Amphorae represent the culmination of meticulous craftsmanship, the careful selection of raw materials, and a tribute to the ancient Roman tradition. These 750cl amphorae are engineered to preserve the wine over extended underwater periods. Produced naturally, without the addition of sulfites, the wine is a harmonious blend of 33% Tempranillo, 33% Garnacha, and 33% Mazuelo, sourced from handpicked grapes from century-old vineyards.
